Bhurkunda, Jharkhand | May | 11, 2023 ::
Prof Gaurav Marathe from IIM Ranchi, and Rajeev Gupta, curator of TEDxKanke, have initiated a new project to organize Drum Circles in Jharkhand.
Their aim is to bring people in the local community together and spread happiness.
The second event outside the IIM Ranchi campus, called Drum Circle with Drum, Dance, and Dialogue, was held at Sri Agrasen School in Bhurkunda after the first one was held at Mega Trade Fair in Morabadi Ground Ranchi.
The Sri Agrasen school's director, Pravin Rajgadia, invited us to conduct Drum Circles for more than 500 students and teachers of his school.
The Drum Circle is a unique experience that allows everyone to participate and perform together.
Unlike traditional performances, where you are a spectator, the Drum Circle encourages you to join in and create music with others.
This activity is an effective way to reduce stress, connect with others, and rejuvenate yourself.
It is a great team-building exercise for corporates and can also add an interesting twist to social gatherings such as weddings, festivals, and parties.
WHY DRUM CIRCLE? “
You, Are the Performance.” This is the most important reason why you should add a drum circle to your Life. Generally, you watch a performance on stage – Have a good time – Go back home. But at the drum circle, You Perform with everyone else – Have a Blast – Go back with Memories.
Drum Circles require no musical background, and both children and adults can participate equally.
They also provide an excellent opportunity to disconnect from digital devices and be present now.
At the Sri Agrasen School event, all the students participated, and their faces were filled with happiness. Initially, children were hesitant to come forward but slowly everyone started coming forward to experience the drum and then the synchronization of drums was mesmerizing.
According to Pravin Rajgadia, the Drum Circle is an activity that creates a lasting impact. It inspires confidence and motivates people to do better in their lives. Prof Gaurav Marathe and the directors of Ideate Inspire Ignite Foundation, Rajeev Gupta and Priti Gupta, plan to organize more Drum Circles in and around Ranchi to connect the local community.
Our mission is to engage and empower our present and future generations to pursue and develop scientific knowledge; careers in sports and adventure, and arts of different forms.
Let’s join hands together to create a platform for everyone so that everyone could aspire Big to fulfill their Dreams.
