On August 20th, in the CCL Auditorium in Ranchi, a gathering of 15 Mount Everest summiters from all over India will come together.

For the first time in India, 15 Mount Everest summiters from all over India will gather in Ranchi on August 20th. All the mountaineers will share their experiences at the Everest Summit organized by Ideate Inspire Ignite Foundation & Central Coal Limited (CCL) and supported by Modern Pythian Games and CyberPeace.

The summit will feature mountaineers from Jharkhand - Premalata Agarwal, Vinita Soren, and Hemant Gupta; from Uttar Pradesh - Satyarup Siddhanta; from West Bengal - Arunima Sinha; from Jammu and Kashmir - Colonel Ranveer Jamwal; from Madhya Pradesh - Megha Parmar; from Karnataka - Priyanka Mohite; from Maharashtra - Manisha Waghmare, Kuntal Joisher; and from Gujarat - Aditi Vaidya and Anuja Vaidya. The summit is being organized with the support of CCL by the Ignite Foundation's Founder Director and TEDxKanke organizer Rajeev Gupta, who said in the press conference that it is a matter of pride for all of us that 15 mountaineers are gathering together for the first time in Ranchi. The event is being held to mark the completion of 70 years of Everest's conquest. All mountaineers will share stories of courage, experience, and victory during their climbs. The objective of the summit is to show the youth how even seemingly impossible peaks can be conquered with courage. Mr. Gupta also mentioned that in 1953, for the first time in the world, two people, New Zealand's Edmund Hillary and Darjeeling's Tenzing Norgay, had conquered Everest. The height of Everest is 8,848 meters. Rajeev Gupta, Kanishka Poddar, Praveen Rajgadhia, Atul Agrawal, Alok Kumar, Amit Modi, Priti Gupta, and Bharat Agrawal were present at the press conference.

1. Priyanka Mohite: Priyanka Mohite from Maharashtra conquered Everest at the age of 21, becoming the youngest and the first Maharashtrian to do so. She received the Tenzing Norgay Adventure Award in 2020. In 2021, Priyanka scaled Mount Annapurna, and in 2022, she successfully climbed Mount Kanchenjunga.

2. Kuntal Joisher: Kuntal Joisher from Mumbai achieved the summit of Everest in 2016 and Mount Lhotse in 2018. He follows a vegetarian lifestyle and is an alumnus of USC Viterbi School of Engineering, California.

3. Anuja Anand Vaidya: Anuja Anand Vaidya has conquered Everest and various other peaks, including Aconcagua in Argentina, Manirang in Himachal Pradesh, Mount Elbrus in Europe, and Carstensz Pyramid in Indonesia. She also achieved the feat of conquering Mount Vinson Massif in Antarctica.

4. Aditi Vaidya: Aditi Vaidya climbed Everest along with her sister Anuja Vaidya. Apart from Everest, she has conquered Aconcagua in Argentina and several other mountain peaks. Aditi pursued her education, obtaining a B.B.A. from B.R.C.M. College of Business Administration and an M.Sc. in International Business from Queen Mary University in London.

5. Rudra Prasad Halder: Rudra Prasad Halder is a media operator from the West Bengal police who successfully summited Mount Everest on May 21, 2016. He commenced his Everest expedition on April 7, displaying determination and courage throughout his journey. He received training from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi.

6. Megha Parmar: Megha Parmar from Madhya Pradesh achieved extraordinary feats, including summiting Everest and Island Peak in 2018. She is also the first woman to complete a technical scuba dive to a depth of 45 meters. Megha serves as an ambassador for the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyan in Madhya Pradesh, empowering girls and women.

7. Manisha Waghmare: Manisha Waghmare successfully summited Everest with her six teammates. She is also a skilled volleyball player and has been honored with the Chhatrapati Award for her achievements in sports. Manisha underwent training at the Indian Cadet Force Camp in Aurangabad to prepare for her Everest expedition.

8. Bhagwan Chawale: Bhagwan Chawale, a Development Officer in LIC, successfully summited Everest in May 2018. Prior to this, he had conquered several other Himalayan peaks like Stok Kangri, Golep Kangri, Bhagirathi, Dwip Shikhar, and others. His remarkable achievements have earned him the Service Medal from the Indian Army. He is recognized as the Fastest Mountaineer in India.

9. Colonel Ranveer Jamwal: Colonel Ranveer Jamwal, an officer of the Indian Army from Jammu and Kashmir, has summited Everest three times. He received the Tenzing Norgay Adventure Award in 2013. He has climbed seven of the world's major summits. Colonel Jamwal has been honored as the Fastest Mountaineer in India.

10. Jamling Tenjing: Jamling Tenjing is the son of Tenzing Norgay, who was the first to summit Everest in 1953. Jamling successfully summited Everest twice, in 1996 and 2002. He has also authored a book called "Touching My Father's Soul," recounting his experiences during Everest expeditions.

11. Arunima Sinha: Arunima Sinha is a renowned Indian mountaineer who holds the distinction of being the first differently-abled woman to conquer the world's seven highest peaks. Apart from Everest, she has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Elbrus, Mount Kosciuszko, Mount Aconcagua, Mount Denali, and Mount Vinson. Arunima was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India.

12. Satyarup Siddhanta: Satyarup Siddhanta is recorded in the Guinness World Records as the youngest mountaineer to achieve the feat of climbing all seven summits. He also conquered the seven volcanic summits. He became the first Indian to achieve this remarkable feat.

13. Hemant Gupta: Popularly known as "Man of Steel," Hemant Gupta successfully summited Everest in 2017. He has also climbed Mount Aconcagua, Mount Bhagirathi, Lobuche East, Island Peak, and Mount Kanamo. Hemant started his career with Tata Steel after completing his education at IIT Bombay.

14. Vineta Soren: Vineta Soren from Saraykela, Jharkhand, is the first tribal woman from India to summit Everest. She accomplished this feat along with her two companions under the Eco-Everest Spring Campaign in 2012. Vineta has also undertaken a remarkable journey of approximately two thousand kilometers from Bhuj, Gujarat, to the Wagah border in Punjab as part of the Thar Desert Campaign.

15. Prem Lata Agrawal: Prem Lata Agrawal from West Bengal is the first Indian woman to successfully summit all seven peaks in the world. She received training for her Everest expedition from Bachendri Pal, the first Indian woman to summit Everest. Prem Lata was honored with the Padma Shri in 2013 and the Tenzing Norgay Award in 2017.

1. Prashant Trivedi: Prashant Trivedi, a renowned tabla player, and rhythm arranger, began his musical journey at age 8 with pakhawaj training. With over 25 years of experience, he collaborates with classical, folk, and pop musicians. An integral part of the rock band EUPHORIA for 21 years, he has performed globally.

2. Sumit Kutani: Sumit Kutani, also known as Baba Kutani, is an accomplished Handpan Player with vast national and international experience. He founded the Kutani Handpan Academy in Rishikesh and has collaborated with various artists and performed at renowned festivals. He aims to promote Handpan music and establish a Himalayan school for underprivileged children.


3. Sumedha Sengupta: Sumedha Sengupta, a trained Odissi dancer under Late Guru Giri Dhari Nayak, is an esteemed Graded Artist at Doordarshan Kendra and empaneled artist of SPICMACAY. Recipient of national scholarships and prestigious awards, she has showcased her talent globally and currently serves at IGNCA, Regional Centre Ranchi.

4. Vijay Vikram Singh: Vijay Vikram Singh is a renowned Indian voice-over artist and actor known for narrating shows like Bigg Boss and acting in The Family Man, Mirzapur 2, Breathe 2, and Special Ops. He excels in theater, playing roles like Chanakya, and is a respected voice trainer for talents like Sanjana Sanghi and Sharvari Wagh.
